This is another vintage recipe that was given to me about 25 years ago by my great aunt. It is her recipe on how to make homemade pink lemonade and our family loves this lemonade when we make it! This recipe makes 4 servings.
Homemade Pink Lemonade Recipe
2/3 cup lemon juice (fresh is best)
1 1/2 cups cold water
1/2 cup maraschino cherry syrup
1 cup to 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (according to your preference)
maraschino cherries
fresh lemon slices
Combine lemon juice, water and cherry syrup in a large beverage pitcher. Stir for 1 minute or until it is well combined. Stir in the granulated sugar and refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving. Use the maraschino cherries and fresh lemon slices to garnish your glasses. (or you can do what we do and we just add them into the beverage pitcher to infuse even more flavor into the lemonade and then we spoon them out right before serving).
