Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Fiber Gourmet who makes delicious tasting pastas, cakes, crackers and mac 'n cheese products and what is unique about these food products is the fact that they contain up to 10 times more fiber than their counterparts out in the retail market. Furthermore, the Fiber Gourmet products taste just as good, if not better than...those other competitor's products.
When you shop for Fiber Gourmet products you will find delicious wheat snack crackers, cheese snack crackers, nacho flavored snack crackers, a variety of high fiber pastas, cinnamon cake mixes, brownie mixes and their lite mac 'n cheese. Wow...what a great variety!
My Review: The generous folks over at fiber gourmet sent me several products to try out for you. First up...I received a box of their single-serve microwave Lite Cinnamon Crumb Cake for the review. For this...the cake mix comes in the box with a plastic bowl and some cinnamon crumb topping. You pour the cake mix into the included bowl along with 1 tablespoon of tap water and stir it up. Microwave it for 20-25 seconds and it's done! Sprinkle on the crumb topping and enjoy! We loved that this took only a few seconds to prepare and we only had to add water to it. The cake was absolutely delicious and it was nice and moist!
Next up...we received a 8 oz. box of Fiber Gourmet Light Rotini Pasta to review. This pasta is only 130 calories per serving and each serving contains 72% of the recommended daily fiber that a person needs. Wow! We cooked up the pasta and then used it in our favorite pasta salad recipe. After a few hours of chilling time, we sat down to do our taste testing. This Rotini pasta looks just like other pastas and in my opinion tastes just like them too! Now you can enjoy a HEALTHY pasta instead of those unhealthier versions. I give it 2 thumbs up!
Finally...we were sent a few single serve snack bags of Light Cheese Snacks and of Light Wheat Snacks (crackers) to try out for all of you. Here at our home we always keep a variety of crackers in our pantry to enjoy as one of our main snack food options...we love them with cheese or dunked into some dip...so we were really excited about trying out these crackers. The Light Cheese Snacks contain 8 grams of fiber per bag and each bag is only 50 calories...great choice for those watching their weight. The Light Wheat Snacks contain 12 grams of fiber per bag and each bag is only 75 calories. (Wheatables (tm) is 150 calories for the same amount of crackers). Hubby and I sat down to enjoy some of our new crackers and we loved them! I preferred the Wheat Snacks and he preferred the Cheese Snacks. Both had a fabulous taste and I love that they come in individual snack bags so that we don't over-eat and these little bags are great for packing into lunches. Fabulous snacks!!!
