I love peaches and when I go to the farmer's market I like to buy them by the bushel and some I use right away and others I will freeze for later use. One of the recipes we like to make that utilizes fresh peaches is a homemade peach milkshake recipe that was given to me by my aunt. If you want to make a larger batch, please feel free to double the batch ingredients.
Homemade Peach Milkshakes Recipe
1 cup whole milk (or reduced fat milk)
1 cup of freshly sliced peaches
1 drop of almond extract or vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups of vanilla ice cream (softened)
Place the milk, sliced peaches and desired extract into your blender's container and process until ingredients are smooth. Then spoon in the softened vanilla ice cream, cover and process for 15-25 seconds or until it's the consistency that you like.
