I have fond memories of my grandmother making and baking these delicious Nut Butter Balls Cookies around the holidays every year! Matter of fact, as kids, we always looked forward to them & would count down the days until she made them for us.
Nut Butter Balls Recipe
1 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup walnuts, crushed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
confectioner's sugar (10X sugar)
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter until smooth. Beat in the granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, crushed walnuts and vanilla extract until well-combined. Roll cookie dough into small balls and then roll the balls into the confectioner's sugar.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Place prepared cookie balls onto a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove and let cool. Roll balls a second time in confectioners sugar and let them sit for 10 minutes before placing them in a storage container.
