I love drinking hot chocolate and drink it almost year round. During the chilly Fall months and those cold Winter months I will drink 2 or 3 cups of hot cocoa every day. When its cold outside, nothing warms you up like a good cup of hot cocoa!
Today I am sharing with all of you a recipe from the Hotel Hershey Culinary Team so that you can indulge and enjoy some hot chocolate too! This recipe will yield 5 delicious servings!
Old Fashioned Hershey's Hot Chocolate Recipe
7 ounces of 70% Scharffen Berger Dark Chocolate
1 pinch of Kosher salt
3 cups of whole milk
3 tablespoons super fine sugar
3 tablespoons espresso coffee
Chop the chocolate and set aside. Combine the milk, sugar and coffee together in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Strain hot liquid over chopped chocolate in a large bowl; stir until the chocolate is completely dissolved. Serve with whipped cream.
Note: When I make this recipe at home, I also dump some miniature marshmallows into my mug after I have poured my hot chocolate. I stir and wait a few minutes and then enjoy it! Yummy good!
